The Dangerous Invisible World!

 Assalamualaikum!

It's been quite some time since my last post. Well, I have been wondering what my next post would be and I had this chance of listening to an incident. I know quite a lot of us are so much into horror stories even though they scare us a lot! Coming of the ghosts, alien encounters and what not. Isn't it?! Most of the times they are just stories with no realities at all. But where do you think these ideas of horror tales come from?

Let's listen to this story. A true story from the real life experience of an Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dr. Yasir Qadhi. It was during that time when sheikh was a graduate student in Madina and he was trying to learn 'Ruqya' (Exorcism or expulsion of jinn from a person or a place) from another sheikh since exorcism wasn't a part of their curriculum. He had just learnt a small part of its techniques when this incident happened.

A boy, a fresh revert, who had zero knowledge about Islam was just admitted into this college. His roommate, another guy who was a good friend of sheikh knew that he was into exorcism. One day, sheikh received a call from him saying that the new student behaved differently ;whining and growling wierd, when he started reading Quran. They knew it was a clear sign of jinn possession and had rung up sheikh for help. For sheikh, it was his first time and being overwhelmed, he rushed to them immediately.

There, he found the brother on the floor and he started reciting Quran loudly as he neared him. The events which then followed, as narrated by sheikh, made my blood run cold!

He says that while he was reciting, he placed his hands over the boy's chest and he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the boy's body rippling. Wherever he touched, ripples fluttered away. He was actually watching an entity moving back and forth as he touched. The boy couldn't have created those ripples by himself!

Furthermore, he describes certain amusing conversations with the guy (quite freaky too!). In order to test him the sheikh threatened the jinn inside the boy to leave him else he would call his teacher (who was more professional in Ruqya). The boy started crying requesting not to call him. A second time, he tried threatening to call another teacher who had actually passed by away. He wanted to see the boy's reaction. The boy knew nothing about the teachers there and he hardly knew the demise of this sheikh. But surprisingly, he cackled in laughter and asked in a hoarse and a harsh voice (similar to the ghostly voices in the horror movies!)

"Are you gonna bring him back from dead?"

What would you have done if you were present there at that moment? Comment below your reactions...

They had spent almost the whole of that afternoon there and now they were seated for lunch. They invited the boy too to join them but he refused and sat in a corner all by himself. While they were eating, one of them accidentally dropped a morsel of food on the ground. He did not pick it up and went for the next round of food. Instantaneously, from the corner, the guy darted over the dropped morsel and with his left hand, grabbed it and ate it in an unnatural manner!

These events are clear manifestations of the sole truth held in the Hadith. Let's see how.

The possessed brother was actually hungry, infact the jinn inside him was really hungry but he refused. Why? The ones who were eating had started their meals with bismillahi rrahmani rraheem...

1.Umar ibn Abu Salamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me "Mention Allah's name (i.e say Bismillah before starting to eat) eat with your right hand and eat from what is near you. "

[Al Bukhari and Muslim]

When you start your meals with Bismillah, Allah protects your food from all the evils of the shayateen.

Furthur, when a morsel of food was dropped, the boy jumped over it and gobbled it with his left hand...

2." When a morsel of any of you falls, he should pick it up and remove whatever maybe harmful over it and then eat it. He should not leave it for shaytan nor should wipe his hand with a napkin until he has licked his fingers for he doesn't know in what portion of the food the blessing lies. "

[Muslim]

3." When anyone of you eats, let him eat with his right hand and when he drinks let him drink with his right hand because the shaytan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand."

[Muslim]

I do not how did you feel reading that but I had flutters in myself! All these experiences are more than enough to reinforce our imaan. It makes the perfection of the Quran and the Hadith more visible. It makes us realize that certainly, there is wisdom behind all those rules and regulations Islam has laid for us and this itself makes Islam to be 'the perfect way of life'. So, it's always better for us to abide by these laws for a smooth lifestyle because Allah alone knows the best!
